Unlike other types of real estate, hotels are comprised of real property and business components. Steve’s course focuses on the business aspects required to perform a hotel valuation. Steve Rushmore, MAI, CHA is the creator of the Modern Hotel Valuation Methodology along with his Hotel Valuation Software- used by thousands of appraisers and valuers around the world.

Under the guidance of Steve Rushmore — founder of HVS, this course enables me to develop a greater understanding of market appraisals and valuation. With the use of The HVS Valuation Software, I received an insight into the key methods for gathering, analyzing, and processing data into a comprehensive market study. The course covered topics such as estimating hotel occupancy and room rate, forecasting income and expenses, and how to more accurately predict the performance of a specified hotel. This course demonstrates how to evaluate all types of hotels and examines different approaches on how to use these to estimate overall value. 

Throughout the program, I have learned how to generate financial forecasts, including income and expense estimates and I now look forward to capitalizing on my new competencies   Since I plan to go into hotel consulting it was one of the best courses I have taken. Thank you.

On this day, I successfully completed a certification course in Hotel Market Analysis and Valuation, conducted by Steve Rushmore, one of the leading experts in the hospitality industry and founder of HVS Global Hospitality Services.

During this course, I have been guided to a deeper understanding of hotel market studies in the process of analyzing and valuing a hotel. By using the three major models in the valuation software, we were able to estimate operating performance, generate financial forecasts, and ultimately appraise a hotel’s value. The previous methods are being used by consultants all over the world, which provided me with relevant insights into hospitality consulting.
